- Bend your knees while exhaling
- Bring both heels towards the bottom of your stomach.
- Both heels will remain touching each other.
- After this, move the knees downwards on both sides.
- Bring both heels as close to the stomach as possible.
- After this, hold the toe with the help of your thumb and first finger.
- The outer edge of the foot should always touch the floor.
- Once you are comfortable with the pose, check if the pubis and tailbone are at the same distance from the floor.
- The pelvis should be in a normal position and the perineum should remain parallel to the floor.
- Keep the spine straight and the shoulders pulled back.
- During this time the sacrum or the triangular bone at the back also remains strong.
- Remember never to force your knees to touch the ground.
- You can apply gentle pressure on the thigh bones to bring the knees down.
- With this the knees will automatically move towards the ground.
- Stay in this posture for 1 to 5 minutes.
